Intervention-based Puberty Program: A Study on the Tendency of <i>Afghan female youths </i>to Engage in High-risk Behaviours in Iran

Risky behaviours are one of the major problems for adolescents. These rooted in physical, sexual, mental, and social changes. This study aims at designing a puberty training program Afghan female youths Iran assesses its effectiveness reducing their tendency to high-risk behaviour. The aim this is line with fifth goal Sustainable Development Goals which "Gender equality". provides girls easy access information on issues. Forty-three adolescent were selected through random sampling method organized into three intervention groups. participants given trainings physical symptoms puberty, early/late genital anatomy, menstruation hygiene, psychological changes symptoms, sexual relationships, sexually transmitted diseases, peer pressure, addiction. consisted seven sessions. Thirty-eight control group received no intervention. Iranian adolescents' risk-taking scale was used measure dependent variable baseline completion program. results showed that there significant decreases smoke, substance abuse, alcohol consumption, unprotected relationships groups (P < 0.01). However, violence had differences among nor evidence engage behaviours. Further research immigrant adolescent’s towards recommended. Longitudinal follow-ups suggested support generalization these kinds interventions.
